Job Description:
CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Data Warehousing Developer to join our team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about data and eager to kick-start their career in data warehousing and business intelligence. As a Data Warehousing Developer, you will be responsible for creating, deploying, and managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, as well as developing reports to support data-driven decision-making. You will have the opportunity to work with various tools and technologies, including SSIS, SQL Server, SSRS, and Cognos, to ensure data integration and consistency across multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities:
- ETL Process Development: Design, build, and manage SSIS packages to facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse data sources, ensuring data accuracy and seamless integration.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from SQL Server, flat files, Excel, and other databases to create a consistent and reliable data environment.
- SQL Query Optimization: Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support business applications and enhance performance.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and fine-tune SQL queries and SSIS packages for efficiency, addressing bottlenecks and improving data flow.
- Job Monitoring: Oversee SSIS/SQL job performance, troubleshoot, and resolve job failures, ensuring uninterrupted data processing.
- Report Development: Develop and deploy analytical reports using SSRS to provide valuable insights for business operations.
- Cognos Expertise: Leverage experience in Cognos to manage and deploy changes within the Cognos framework model, including handling user roles, permissions, and query objects. Experience in Cognos Administration will be an added advantage, including managing permissions and handling the framework's model.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology (BE/BTech) is required for this role.
- ETL Skills: Knowledge of ETL concepts and experience with SSIS for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong understanding of MS SQL Server with the ability to develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- SSRS Reporting: Hands-on experience in creating analytical reports using SSRS, catering to different business needs.
- Cognos: Prior exposure to Cognos is a plus, including managing the framework model, administering user roles, and modifying permissions.
- Additional Skills: Proficiency in English is essential, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Eligibility Criteria:
This position is open to fresh graduates who meet the following requirements:
- A BE/BTech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of ETL processes, SQL, SSIS, and reporting tools.
- Willingness to learn Cognos and develop expertise in Cognos Administration.
