About the Role:

Embark on a dynamic 10-week Software Engineer Internship with Jump Trading in India. Join our core development team, where you'll be immersed in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining our distributed trading system. This intensive internship offers hands-on experience, allowing you to delve into the fundamentals of large-scale, high-performance infrastructure while honing your C++ programming skills. Get a taste of the life of a full-time software engineer at Jump as you work on production-targeted projects, following our Agile methodologies for development, testing, and release. Collaborate with experienced engineers, receive continuous feedback, and be mentored throughout the summer.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Experience with C++ programming on Linux is preferred.
- Strong understanding of data structures and threading models.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, contributing to the deployment of new software daily.
- Passion for solving complex problems and a commitment to building optimal solutions from scratch, rather than assembling from existing libraries.
- Interest in leveraging knowledge across various areas, including hardware, networking, and OS design, to produce highly performant software.
- Reliable and predictable availability.
- No finance or economics study or work experience required.

Also helpful, but not required:

- Past internship or job experience in a software development role is a plus.
- Advanced coursework in algorithms, network programming, operating systems, and compilers.
