About the Role: Associate DBA
As an Associate DBA (Database Administrator) at NTT DATA, you will be a key player in providing essential support and monitoring for clients’ packaged application technologies such as ERP, Middleware, and other critical business software environments. This role involves managing application-based incidents, service requests, and alerts to ensure the smooth functioning and optimization of clients’ application infrastructures. Your primary objective is to maintain the highest level of service by ensuring no service-level agreements (SLAs) are missed.
This entry-level position focuses on providing first-line support for standard and low-complexity incidents. The role may also involve contributing to project work whenever required.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Monitoring:
Monitor client packaged applications such as ERP and Middleware, ensuring smooth operation by identifying and addressing any problems or errors as they arise. You will proactively detect potential issues before they escalate and work to prevent incidents from occurring.
2. Incident and Problem Management:
Investigate first-line incidents, analyze their root causes, and ensure that service requests and incidents are resolved efficiently. You will also be responsible for reporting and escalating issues where necessary.
3. Client Interaction and Support:
Provide telephonic or chat-based support to clients, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and professionally. You will fulfill approved service requests by following set procedures and maintaining a positive client experience.
4. Maintenance and Optimization:
Execute routine maintenance tasks such as patching and configuration changes. Look for opportunities to optimize work processes, automate tasks, and reduce incidents.
5. Knowledge Sharing:
Contribute to the knowledge base by updating existing articles or creating new documentation to support incident resolution and request fulfillment.
6. Disaster Recovery Support:
Assist with the implementation and testing of disaster recovery functions when required, ensuring the robustness of client infrastructures.
7. Collaboration:
Work across teams to maintain service continuity during shift changes, and provide seamless service by following established handover procedures.
