Job Description: Power BI Developer at Infosys BPM
We are seeking talented Power BI Developers with a strong background in advanced SQL and Power BI to join our team at Infosys BPM. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing data-driven insights that empower decision-making across the organization. As a Power BI Developer, you will work closely with business stakeholders to transform data into meaningful visualizations and reports, enabling better understanding of trends, performance, and other critical business metrics. Key Responsibilities:
- Data Transformation and Visualization: Develop advanced dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI to present data in a clear and effective manner. Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into high-quality Power BI solutions.
- SQL Data Modeling: Utilize advanced SQL skills to create complex data models, perform data extraction, and manipulate large datasets. Build optimized SQL queries and functions to support data analytics and reporting needs.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. Transform raw data into actionable insights by applying advanced analytics and BI techniques.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they run efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues.
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Engage with business stakeholders to understand their analytics needs, provide insights, and recommend appropriate solutions based on best practices and industry standards.
- Documentation and Standards: Maintain thorough documentation of BI solutions, including workflows, processes, and coding standards. Ensure data solutions align with Infosys BPM's data governance policies.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT and business teams to deliver solutions that meet organizational objectives. Provide training and support to end-users, empowering them to make data-driven decisions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are an advantage but not required.
- Experience: Proven experience in Power BI and SQL is essential. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience working with BI tools and data analytics.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
- Strong command of SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, perform data extraction, and conduct data analysis.
- Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with other BI tools or programming languages such as Python or R is an added advantage.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
