About the Role:
Fluence is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join the Nispera Asset Performance Management (APM) platform team. This role will be part of our software engineering division, contributing to the development of critical APIs that bridge front-end and back-end systems. Based in our Bangalore center of excellence, you will collaborate closely with experienced engineers across teams located in India and Europe. The position offers hands-on experience in API development, with responsibilities spanning the implementation, documentation, and maintenance of containerized Rest API applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- API Development: Develop and maintain APIs to support seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain thorough documentation for API interfaces and related components.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end engineers and back-end developers, to deliver efficient solutions.
- Maintenance: Ensure the consistent performance of containerized Rest API applications.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in the development and maintenance processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
   - BSc or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience:
   - At least 1 year of professional experience in API development.
   - Proficiency in Node.js for backend development.
   - Experience working with relational databases and Linux environments.
- Collaboration Skills:
   - Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Communication:
   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the energy industry is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with other programming languages and frameworks like Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Nest.js.
- Familiarity with agile development environments and experience delivering products/services within this framework.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, along with experience in containerization and microservices architecture.
