Job Overview

Mastercard is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II – Automation Testing to join our Agile team. This role requires expertise in test automation, Java development, and REST API testing to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to test strategy development, and enhance automation frameworks to support our continuous integration and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement automation test scripts for REST APIs and UI applications.

Design and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber, and Karate.

Analyze system requirements and translate them into test cases and automation scripts.

Work closely with developers to ensure optimal test coverage and software quality.

Perform code reviews, debug issues, and analyze logs using tools like Splunk.

Support Agile processes, including story elaboration, sprint planning, and continuous testing.

Execute performance testing and generate necessary test data for validation.

Utilize Postman, SoapUI, or Insomnia for API testing and validation.

Conduct demos for stakeholders, showcasing new product functionality.

Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of hands-on experience in software automation testing.

Proficiency in Java programming and automation tools like Selenium, Rest Assured, and Cucumber.

Strong knowledge of API testing, UI automation, and test-driven development (TDD).

Hands-on experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEA, Git, and Bitbucket.

Solid understanding of SQL, capable of writing and optimizing complex queries.

Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies and associated ceremonies.

Strong debugging and analytical skills with the ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team collaboration.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Experience with mobile testing using cloud platforms like BrowserStack or Perfecto.

Exposure to virtualization tools and Agile testing methodologies.
