Position Overview:

As a QA Engineer – Automation at Quick Heal, you’ll be an essential part of the team responsible for ensuring high-quality automation frameworks and tools. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks, allowing for the seamless execution of functional and non-functional test cases. Your primary objective will be to ensure the product’s reliability, scalability, and functionality through efficient automation strategies that contribute to the overall quality and success of Quick Heal’s offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Product and System Understanding: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the product and its system architecture, and utilize this knowledge to design targeted and effective automation solutions.
- Automation Framework Development: Design and improve automation frameworks to ensure they are robust, scalable, and adaptable to various testing needs. Implement good engineering practices to create reliable automation tools.
- Scenario Identification and Conversion: Identify relevant use cases and scenarios, converting them into prioritized and efficient test cases that align with project goals.
- Test Case Automation: Automate identified test scenarios to expedite acceptance and functional test execution, contributing to faster project timelines.
- Test Execution and Quality Assurance: Execute automated tests within assigned timeframes to align with project deliverables and quality standards, ensuring timely feedback.
- Issue Identification and Debugging: Leverage strong analytical skills to identify, triage, and resolve issues encountered in the automation process.
- Communication and Reporting: Report and document test results, identify potential risks and dependencies, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to maintain project transparency and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Programming and Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming and the ability to design, implement, troubleshoot, and analyze complex algorithms, ensuring code modularity and maintainability.
- Automation Framework Experience: Experience in building, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality and reliable automation frameworks, particularly in areas such as data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid frameworks.
- Continuous Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) practices to streamline the development and testing workflow, increasing deployment efficiency.
- OS and Interdependency Knowledge: Sound understanding of operating systems and their dependencies in the context of automation, ensuring stability and performance across platforms.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology (BE/BTech) from a recognized university or institution.
- Experience: Candidates should possess 0-4 years of relevant experience in QA Automation, ideally working with retail or enterprise software products.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid foundation in programming languages, test automation, and continuous integration methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, along with an ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
