Role Overview:
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be a part of Qualcomm’s core engineering teams, contributing to the development of embedded software, device drivers, and software platforms. You will work on real-world projects involving cutting-edge domains like multimedia, wireless communications, IoT, and OS-level software development.
Internship Responsibilities:
Design and develop real-time embedded software and device drivers
Collaborate on software platforms including Android, Linux, and Windows
Work with multimedia technologies such as audio/video codecs and image processing
Participate in the development of modem technologies – LTE, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
Gain exposure to OS internals, protocol stacks, and kernel development
Develop applications and UI for connected devices including AR/VR, drones, and smart assistants
Contribute to protocol development using TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP and more
Collaborate in cross-functional teams, sharing ideas and solving complex technical problems
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Computer Science Engineering
Communication Engineering
Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of C/C++, data structures, and object-oriented programming
Familiarity with Linux/UNIX environments and kernel programming
Knowledge of wireless technologies and network protocols
Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
Good communication and teamwork skills
