Job Description
Fortanix is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our R&D team and explore hybrid cloud solutions. This internship offers hands-on experience in software deployment, automation, security, and cloud computing. As an intern, you will contribute to various aspects of development, implementation, testing, and monitoring of our cloud security platform.

This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring engineers to gain practical exposure in secure software development, cloud infrastructure, and automation processes.

Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the deployment and automation of cloud security solutions.

Research, implement, test, and document software security enhancements.

Assist in monitoring and maintaining the current infrastructure.

Improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and processes.

Work on the backend of cloud security platforms using Rust, C, or similar languages.

Contribute to Runtime Encryption® software for SGX.

Deploy, monitor, and optimize software performance.

Follow and implement security best practices.

Required Qualifications
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or a related field.

Strong understanding of software security principles and secure software development.

Proficiency in at least one programming language: Rust, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Go.

Familiarity with software deployment tools such as Kubernetes or Docker.

Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot software issues.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with high English proficiency.

Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of Cloud Architecture.

Hands-on experience in Rust and/or C++ development.

Understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability in cloud services.
