Calix is seeking an Engineering Intern for their Bangalore location. As an intern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams on Routing and Switching to develop, integrate, unit test, and support software modules within a large-scale system.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Participate in technical discussions within the engineering group in all phases of the SDLC.
- Support in the preparation of feature specification documents, design documents, and test plans.
- Assist in the implementation of new features.
- Support test strategy and automation in both end-to-end solution and functional testing.

Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in C programming language or Python.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with the basics of Networking (OSI Layers, TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6).
- Familiarity with Linux operating system concepts.
- Familiarity with source control applications such as GIT.
- Strong communication skills and excellent telephone presence.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science / information science. Should have graduated in 2023 / 2024.
