Position: Azure Data Engineer

 Job Overview:
As an Azure Data Engineer at Gainwell Technologies, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing the organization’s Azure cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on security protocols, governance, and efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to assessing, auditing, and enhancing the Azure environment, enabling seamless data integration and transformation. Your contributions will support Gainwell Technologies’ mission to drive effective cloud transformation and maintain a robust data ecosystem.

 Key Responsibilities:

- Azure Architecture Review and Optimization: Conduct in-depth reviews of Azure infrastructure architecture, assessing security protocols, compliance, and performance metrics. Identify opportunities for improvements and optimizations that enhance the overall efficiency and security of the cloud environment.
- Unified Cloud Strategy: Collaborate in developing a unified strategy for Azure cloud transformation, covering critical areas such as governance, automation, security, and operational efficiencies. Support the establishment of best practices and guidelines for cloud management.
- CI/CD Management and DevOps Integration: Utilize Azure DevOps to manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, including setting up pipelines, tracking performance, and ensuring the seamless delivery of cloud solutions.
- Data Pipeline Documentation and Management: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all data pipelines, operational procedures, and data transformation tasks. Ensure the data infrastructure is updated monthly and remains aligned with organizational standards and best practices.
- ETL Process Automation: Work extensively with data integration patterns and ETL processes, enabling the smooth transfer and transformation of data across platforms to support data-driven decision-making.
- Log Analysis and System Health Monitoring: Leverage Azure Log Analytics to analyze logs from various Azure resources, providing detailed insights into system performance and health.
 
Additional Responsibilities:
- Monthly Refresh Plans: Support the implementation and execution of monthly refresh plans to keep the data infrastructure aligned with the latest updates and organizational needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-functional team discussions, sharing insights on data structure, troubleshooting, and pipeline execution for effective collaboration.
- Security and Compliance Oversight: Continuously ensure that security protocols are implemented and adhered to across all cloud environments, safeguarding data integrity and confidentiality.

What We’re Looking For:
 Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

 Technical Skills and Experience:
- Certifications: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Azure DevOps Expertise: Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including pipeline setup, CI/CD management, and tracking for optimized cloud processes.
- Proficiency in Power BI: Proficient in creating dashboards, data visualizations, and reports using Power BI to support data-driven decisions.
- Data Integration Tools: Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database to manage and manipulate large datasets.
- ETL Processes: Strong grasp of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) practices and data integration patterns for seamless data flows.
- Log Analytics Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure Log Analytics for monitoring logs across Azure resources, enabling efficient performance and system health tracking.
- Azure Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of Azure environments, infrastructure, and resource management practices for effective cloud operation.

 Soft Skills:
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and effectively conveying technical details to business stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach in identifying potential issues early and ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
- Self-motivated and Organized: Ability to work independently, efficiently manage multiple priorities, and meet project timelines.

 Other Requirements:
- Availability for Evening Shift: Willingness to work in an evening shift to enable maximum overlap with US teams, ensuring streamlined communication and project alignment.
- Precision in Monitoring: An analytical mindset and keen eye for monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring efficient pipeline execution.
