Key Responsibilities

🔧 Platform Development Support

• Assist in the design and development of microservices and REST/FHIR APIs to power AI agents, clinical tools, and integrations.

• Contribute to scalable, cloud-native platform components aligned with enterprise reliability standards.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot, FastAPI, or Node.js.

⚙️ System Maintenance & Optimization

• Support performance tuning, scalability enhancements, and bug fixes in critical healthcare services.

• Help implement monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure system health and responsiveness.

• Participate in incident investigation and resolution with guidance from senior engineers.

🔐 Compliance & Security

• Follow secure coding practices and comply with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).

• Assist in implementing encryption, access controls, and data protection mechanisms.

• Support efforts in audit logging, traceability, and documentation for regulatory compliance.

🤝 Collaboration & Agile Practices

• Work closely with data engineers, ML engineers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Engage in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

• Learn from peer reviews and actively contribute to improving code quality.

📚 Learning & Growth

• Stay current on backend technologies, cloud platforms, and healthcare interoperability standards.

• Participate in prototyping new tools, libraries, or services.

• Seek mentorship and apply best practices to accelerate career development.

Requirements

🎓 Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in software development (including internships, projects, or full-time roles).

• Exposure to designing or building backend services or APIs is preferred.

💻 Technical Skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience with backend/API development frameworks like Spring Boot, FastAPI, or Express.js.

• Familiarity with Git and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP); Docker experience is a plus.
